Poem Beasts

The Garflore (Garden)

This one also smells

A rose is a rose pillowed on dawn-dew greens
sense-terraced joys
an eden seen.
Convex-concave moves of meadow breeze
choreographies ‘Leaves of Grass.’
Dance directions traced lightly enough.
Flowers copulate in beds
colorloved by a warm buzzing.
Above, limbs rarely stationary, open-close
blue paths taken and given
touchscapes of cloudflight.
Below stones sit earth-spaced wisdom.
All is sun touched beauty all beasts love

Garflore is tended by Mistress Mary
who does not like rows
but seeds surprises that grows
where the other rose was supposed to be.

The Blumus (Rhymes)

A catchy beast

Like a feather born to float around
this magic gold-horned beast
nuances nonchalant sound.
Abstract like the ghost of dear Kalliope.
“Muse are you there? I can’t see.”

“No. Listen to an ohm. Then go home.
does not take two to untangle.
Or listen from another angle.
so run along. Sing your song.
Which usually rhymes. But not all the times
that Blumus wails out utter variations
followed by intense sensations.
Fascinated creatures love to bite
off more of Blumu than its feet
and dance around its mad beat.
The more shy, why, sit and listen.
What do they hear? What each wants to echo
as does a seer and bring wonder ver’ near.
Blumus always play.
angelbeast what we choose
and make happy this ancient Muse.”
