Poem Beasts

The Abomtic (Atom Bomb)

Too messy to define

So antique, so proverse.
Born with the universe.
The cosmic firecracker pops
the thin autumn air.
With aspect so ugly
empty smiles are amused.
Appetite, so exaggerated
entire poems are consumed.

In SALT filled grief…cases are buried.
Not quite deep enough.
START turns to STOP dark.

Atomtic’s fragile egg-head, intricately wired
has a mind not its own
vanishing point.
This sly beast merely wants the sun to shut up.
Its metamushiness and excessive extremities
simply follow boundless curiosity
                       leading to nowhere in particular.

Curiosity killed just that.
